Lincolnshire's Premier Ceilidh Band

Where are we from and where do we play? - We're a ceilidh band from Lincolnshire, home of the beautiful cathedral city of Lincoln. We'll play wherever you want us to play! 

We have toured the continent, appeared on TV and radio, including Radio 2's "Folk on 2" at Pebble Mill.  One of our album tracks was choice of a well known music lover in the Hong Kong version of Desert Island Discs! A well known radio station in the USA even devoted a whole programme to us, without really knowing who we were! 

With a history dating back to 1978 we are Lincolnshire's most established ceilidh band!

What do we do? - We ensure you have a great time. We are a ceilidh band so dancing is key (but you can listen too!)  Tom (our caller) encourages involvement, teaches you the moves and helps you become a fantastic dancer!

Can anyone join in? - Absolutely - anyone from the most accomplished dancer to the absolute beginner. This makes Higgledy Piggledy the perfect band for audiences of mixed abilities and any age. We love to play at weddings, anniversaries and corporate events as well as the more traditional PTAs  & church hall fundraisers and we play Folk Festivals as well.

What sort of music is it? - Mainly revved-up British traditional-type ceilidh dance tunes with a modern contemporary backing - You will no doubt spot classic rock, pop and jazz motifs mixed seamlessly in with the traditional Irish, Scottish and English Jigs & Reels. We're high energy and easy to dance to! 

We can play other music! - Jazz - Rock & Pop We're versatile - with Sean on guitar, Dan on piano and Rick on violin)we often play as an instrumental trio, playing classics from Jazz, Rock & Pop. 

 We can provide a Disco for your event! We can provide you with a disco sound system and lights and after the ceilidh dancing has finished.
